What documents do I need to open a Deposit?

Opening a Deposit is pretty easy. The documents you would require to confirm your:

  1. Identification: 2 forms of valid ID (Passport, Driver’s Permit or National ID)
  2. Proof of Address: A recent Utility Bill or Bank statement (no older than 3 months)
  3. Source of Funds: A recent pay slip or Job Letter

*If you are a Non-national you will be required to provide a reference letter from your foreign Bank*

How do I provide the funds for my Deposit to you?

Your payment will be accepted in the form of:

  1. Bank Transfer (We will provide you with our Banking Information)
  2. Manager’s Cheque

Is my Deposit Covered?

Any money you set aside in a Fixed Deposit, at Development Finance, of up to TT$200,000 is fully covered by deposit insurance from the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago

How will I receive my interest?

Interest can be received monthly, quarterly, semiannually, yearly or at maturity.
