What documents do I need to open a Deposit?

Opening a Deposit is pretty easy. The documents you would require to confirm your:

  1. Identification: 2 forms of valid ID (Passport, Driver’s Permit or National ID)
  2. Proof of Address: A recent Utility Bill or Bank statement (no older than 3 months)
  3. Source of Funds: A recent pay slip or Job Letter

*If you are a Non-national you will be required to provide a reference letter from your foreign Bank*

How do I provide the funds for my Deposit to you?

Your payment will be accepted in the form of:

  1. Bank Transfer (We will provide you with our Banking Information)
  2. Manager’s Cheque

Is my Deposit Covered?

Foreign currency deposits are deposits held in an institution which are denominated and payable in a foreign currency, and therefore are not covered by the Deposit Insurance Cooperation of Trinidad and Tobago.

How will I receive my interest?

Interest can be received monthly, quarterly, semiannually, yearly or at maturity.
